A community gem!! Our second time at Cress Creek Farm and it's the best. The owners are so kind and friendly and knowledgeable. The store is literally amazing! You can purchase feed for Kevin, the babydoll sheep. Highly recommend the baby lamb tour! We held baby lambs and learned so much about sheep. So grateful this farm is open to the public it is such a gift!!!

Such a fun and sweet experience. We were going to pet highland cows but they cancelled the tour bc it was too cold. We found this place nearby and didn’t disappoint. We got to cuddle lambs and feed sheep. They also had a nice little local shop with fresh eggs and goodies. The owners were super knowledgeable and kind. You can tell the animals are loved! Must do for all ages.

This place is great! I learned a lot about sheep farming and got to cuddle with some lambs :) My husband had a lot of fun too (that is him in the photo). They had a lot of lambs including some that were only 2 days old (the two in the photo)! So cute! An extra perk is that admission is really cheap and you get to see more than just sheep. They have chickens, geese, a rhea, and a really wonderful sheep herding dog named Diesel. Definitely stop in here the next time you are in Elijay.

We had a wonderful time in this hidden gem. The property was beautiful and large. There was a fun corn maze, a hay ride, kids got to hold baby lambs, had a nice tour man who was patient an answered the many questions my kids had. While we waited for our turn on the hay ride, we played family games they provide. There was a kids train ride made of cute barrel carts( these were super creative and fun). They had Chickens and turkeys too! They had the most delicious apple cider, pumpkin latte and hot chocolate. Family owned and run. Made our fall trip to the mountains so memorable. Perfect day for our big family!

We stopped by Cress Creek Farm on our way to Blue Ridge for a quick mom-and-son (7) getaway, and it was such a treat! Hayden was a fantastic tour guide/farmer, so friendly, knowledgeable, and passionate about what they do. We loved hearing about the farm’s recent journey into agriculture and why they chose sheep (apparently, no one else nearby has them). My son was thrilled to hold newborn lambs, turkeys, and chickens, and watching Diesel the dog in action was a highlight. The farm tour itself was a blast, especially the water-barrel wagon ride, which was a huge hit with my son. The corn maze was just right, fun but not overwhelming (though we realized we need to brush up on our nursery rhymes!). We didn’t get a chance to try the take-home lamb or bakery treats this time, but everything looked absolutely delicious. We spent about 90 minutes there, and it wasn’t crowded since it’s still early in the season. With more lamb babies on the way in the coming weeks, I imagine this hidden gem won’t stay hidden for long.
